Squeezed out yet another blood orange cocktail.  Since they’re in at Wegmans (at least for now), gotta use ’em up.

I give myself a C- on the garnish; my X-acto skills didn’t deliver on my vision, but at least it’s … curly. Looks like a little orange squid crawling out of my otherwise very pleasing drink.

This is a blood-orange version of the classic Bronx, which is almost identical but uses regular orange juice. Another way to look at this: It’s a Perfect Martini – with an ounce of orange juice (choose your color).

BLOODY BRONX

1-3/4 oz high-proof gin
½ oz sweet vermouth
¼ extra dry vermouth
1 oz blood orange juice

Shake, fine-strain into chilled glass, garnish with orange zest.
